The present work superimposes a deep-space image of star-birth over a girl staring into a dark ocean void on a stark black rocky seashore.
The title recapitulates this visual poem's sense of isolation - the fears of girlhood transitioning to womanhood in contemporary society, the nakedness underlining the artist's feeling of survival in absence of support and empathy.
At the same time, the whimsical superimposition of both star-birth and the sea from which humanity sprang suggests a contemplation of origins both cosmic and biological, a sense of comfort in the void through deep understanding of the cycle of life and nature, itself.
Founder of the art collective "World Wide Women," and exhibiting internationally since 2012, she is a rising star in London's erotic feminist photography scene:

Premium heavy wood frame hand-picked by the artist (donated to Christie’s, London charity sale), and top-end U.V. glass also chosen by her to protect against fading.
Provenance: Christie's, London; Wisdom & Nature sale, 2021, Lot 69.
